Welcome to Caring, Affirming Physical Therapy

Pain is an individual experience. I offer one-on-one, 50 minute treatment sessions so that you receive the time, care, and expertise you need to unravel your pain journey.

Here at New Growth Physical Therapy, I guide, instruct, and empower you toward understanding your body, to resolve current pain and prevent future injury.

Treatment starts with an initial evaluation where I deeply listen to your experience, evaluate your muscles and joints to determine root imbalances, and blend my expertise with your individual goals to craft a personalized treatment plan. A course of treatment typically involves 6 to 12 weekly sessions, depending on the complexity of your condition and your scheduling needs.

My Approach

Empowering

I am here to give you the tools you need to take control of your pain. I emphasize an educational approach to physical therapy because I believe the more you understand your body, the more you can break out of the cycle of pain and prevent injury in the future, rather than simply soothing surface symptoms.

Encouraging

Growth cannot happen with shame. My approach focuses on celebrating your wins, discovering what is holding you back, and providing tenderness and care to move forward at your own pace. I will never scold you for not completing a home exercise schedule, but prefer instead to work within the uniqueness of your situation to set you up for success in the first place.

Collaborative

I may have years of training, but you are the expert of your own body. I practice physical therapy from a trauma-informed perspective, which means I craft treatment plans together with you so that you maintain full agency of your body at all times. I create collaborative goals with you rather than prescribing an outcome for your sessions, so that you can get back to doing what is most meaningful to YOU.

Affirming

All are welcome here. I provide gender and sexuality inclusive care, using language and intake forms that are gender neutral. I believe in health at every size, and I never comment on weight or give diet advice. I am committed to identifying systemic injustices in the healthcare system and addressing them wherever I am able. I firmly believe that Black Lives Matter.
